Following an effective debut a year ago, Grub Fest is back once more hosting food lovers at two venues in the city and is outfitting to make its debut in Pune towards the month end.  Grub Fest, a brainchild of foodies such as Aman Kumar, Arjun Jain, Chaitanya Mathur and Mani Singh is executing three fests - with the pilot launch at DLF CyberHub from March 3-5 with another idea called the 'Grub Mile' that offered a preview of the Fest.  The celebration would make a beeline for its base Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from March 18 to March 20 with an intend to showcase a greater, more delicious and exciting celebration in comparison to their first celebration held a year ago in April.  The celebration would see the involvement of best of restaurants, artists and chefs of the city with documentary screenings, talks by top food experts, cook offs for sprouting chefs, and an all new form of Grub Stories.  The organising team aim to host nourishment lovers, devotees an...

For many years the closest disciple of the legendary singer, the late Smt Naina Devi, she has continued her study of this form under the renowned Smt Girija Devi and Smt Shanti Hiranand. Her training has therefore helped her imbibe the traditional gayaki of both Banaras and Lucknow styles. Her initial training in khayal was under the late Prof. B.N. Datta and thereafter under Pandit Mani Prasad of the Kirana gharana. Specialising in thumri-dadra and the allied folk derived forms such as chaiti. hori, kajri etc...
